Never forget, and never forgive.
✡️ NEVER AGAIN ✡️

When someone literally says that they only care about bad things as long as Jews are involved, but at the same time claim that nothing bad happens anywhere else in the world, that’s textbook antisemitism. And I WILL call you on it.
We are not scared anymore. We are no longer Jews with trembling knees. If you want to have an honest conversation I am always up for it, but if you JUST hate Jews for being who we are, I’m sorry, we’re done.

Over 2,500 years ago, King Cyrus the Great of Persia ended the Babylonian captivity and helped the Jewish people return to Jerusalem to rebuild our Temple. He helped us return home, rebuild our society, and practice our beliefs in peace, treating us with kindness when so many before him had not.
Today, as a Jew, I remember that debt of friendship. We do not forget our history or our allies. To the people of occupied Iran: We stand with you in your quest for freedom and light. May the ancient friendship between Persians and Jews flourish once again, and may we all dance together once you are free! 💚🦁❤️ 💙✡️💙

With all that’s bad in the world, sometimes you just need to make some cookies. Why? Because delicious. ...
In Sydney, a truly horrific and tragic event took place as around 2.000 people gathered on a beach to celebrate Hanukkah were targeted in what can only be described as a terror attack.
Over here in Sweden, our prime minister has openly commented on the situation, calling it a ”terrible attack” and saying that ”together, we have to fight antisemitism”. I agree with him. But I truly believe that our government has failed time and time again at this goal; I would even go as far as saying they have helped make it worse with their almost complete lack of actions.
Because speaking up against something that’s happened in a whole other country is all well and good, but it is not the same as speaking up against or actively working against it on your own soil. I remember growing up when racism was fairly prevalent and us kids were always taught to stand up against what we call ”vardagsrasism” (or ”every day racism”). ”If you hear someone make racist comments, say something. Don’t let them get away with it”. Yet when people in the same country practice ”every day antisemitism”, we should all either stand quiet or are expected to agree?
And please, don’t twist my words or use ”whataboutism” and start talking about Israel, because this is not about Israel. Innocent Jews in Sydney were targeted by a terrorist for being Jewish, they had nothing to do with the state of Israel. Whether you want to admit it or not, or even see it, for most people this has nothing to do with the state of Israel at all - this is about hatred towards the Jewish people.
To anyone not celebrating Hanukkah, I wish you a wonderful week anyways. But to all my fellow Jews and to all of you who truly stand with us - Happy Hanukkah ✡️💙 ...
